Orangeville has community spirit! There are more than 50 tree sculptures on public property -- putting character on the boulevards and art on display. The Town is unusual as it owns its own rail line which offers freight service and a passenger tourist train. It's noted as having creative walking spaces, including three medians on Broadway that have symbols to represent the Town's evolution as well as a four-sided fountain on Broadway representing the fact that the Town is at the headwaters of four river systems. It has a thriving arts and culture community, as well as a professional theatre company that manages the Town Hall Opera House. The town's founder, Orange Lawrence, is depicted in a sculpture on the main street, with sleeves rolled up and plans in his hands for the mills he built and the town he helped to create. the town is on the doorstep of the Niagara Escarpment and has small town charm with lots of urban amenities. And it's got beauty and spirit and is a wonderful place to call home.
