for participating in the
PC® BBQTown Event!
Our community works very hard to involve our kids and even the adults to come together and support many great causes. I know that every year all four high schools work extremely hard to help generate as much money for any charity that comes up. I myself helped organize the 30 Hour Famine at Central Elgin, at which time I participated in the event also. I know many students that participated in this event as raised and great deal of money. Along with the other high schools our town generated a great deal of money. When it comes to community involvement you can find every sort of person out there willing to learn and to help out charities or even the community itself. When it comes to volunteer work there is plenty of opportunities to have students and adults get together and help. The St. Anne's festival that comes in the beginning of June is a great time for families and friends to have a great time out side. It's the perfect little event for this little town. We also have an Iron Festival that happens later in the summer. Now this is a great way for people to see out downtown area and experience the great food that all the booths have during the festival. I think that having a great band like Hedley come to this town would just provide another great opportunity for the community to come together. I've seen Hedley several times and they have always put on an amazing show for their fans. This would be the perfect thing for this town since it has been through a rough patch because of the recession. I think it would be the best thing that could happen for this town in a long while. I think we deserve it and that we'll work hard for it. If we do get this concert it would be greatly appreciated for the longest time!
